Hi
ReplyDeleteI am always looking forward to your new recipe :)
Can I check what brand of oats do you used? And for the oats, I can just soak for few minutes then cook on stove? And what kind of fresh milk do you offer to your son?
As for cinnamon, I can buy those in bottle type in NTUC?
Thanks for sharing this recipe, looks yummy.
Dear Yuna,
DeleteTqvm for your continuous support!!!
I usually buy the organic rolled oats from either of these 3 brands - Origins, Cowhead & Anzen. They tend to have promo for packs of 2 from time to time so I'll just buy whichever is on sale when I need to restock.
DeleteYes, I always buy my cinnamon from NTUC too..the brand is McCormick.
DeleteThe pleasure's mine :) Cooked bananas always taste gooooood!
Sorrie I had to break down my replies as whenever I typed a long reply, it always hung on me :/
Hi Celine
ReplyDeleteThanks for your reply. May I know do I need to soak the oats overnight and need to blend it? And the recipe stated 2 cups of fresh milk. Is it too add the fresh milk immediately after the oats are fully cooked?
Any brand if fresh milk you can recommend?
Thanks and sorry for so many qs
Halo, Yuna!
DeleteU're most welcome =)
Some mummies do soak overnight but I've done some research & read that even by soaking, the amount of phytic acid is not significantly reduced for oats. Thus, I don't soak them overnight. As for the need to blend, it depends on the age of your LO & how well he / she chews. I stopped blending for my boy after he turned 1yo.
U can use either 2 cups of milk or 2 cups of water to cook the oats. Sorrie, think my directions weren't clear enough as I didn't mention the milk there. I've since amended it already.
DeleteI'm using Farmhouse Fresh Milk which is readily available in most NTUCs.
No worries at all..keep them coming ~.^
